Update

The Kraemer Family has seen the return of 4-H Horse Bowl with a new twist this week, with brother John joining the competition. He in turn has been joined by two other boys on the farm, Daniel and David Stadem. After one practice, veteran quizzer Abigail says she quite impressed. “At least they’re not afraid to hit the buzzer!”

Kelvin continues to improve, working half days every day, and picking up full days two to three times per week.

Susan is seeing Kelvin’s chiropractor for nerve entrapment in her right arm that causes major tingling off and on during the day.

John and Abigail have finished one month of violin lessons from a homeschooling mom whose children comprise a fiddlin’ performance group. They have wanted to do this for a time and are motivated to practice. They are both progressing rapidly.

Wheaton Application and Interview Update

Joshua just had his phone interview with Wheaton college yesterday about this time. It was pretty laid back. The interviewer person was impressed by his family situation and community involvement, etc. to name a few. Anyway, The application is complete and we will be informed of Wheaton’s decision after their committee meets in March.

Wheaton Application and A.L.E.R.T

Joshua finished his Wheaton application yesterday and it’s in the mail! :D This happened only after last minute revisions to the second essay draft and additions to his lengthy highschool transcript. Once Wheaton College receives the application, Joshua will be able to schedule an interview (if one’s available :D ).

Joseph arrived at A.L.E.R.T. Last Saturday noon and has been promoted to assitant unit leader (second in command only to the head leader). A.L.E.R.T. has been deployed to ASIA for the tsunami crisis, but Joseph will most likely not be going with them because EOS training will keep him busy.

Kelvin’s Back Update

Kelvin’s back seems to be getting better every day. :) He even felt good enough to go to work early this morning until lunch. We’ll see how he feels tommorrow morning. ;) The Lord has been teaching us to rely on him for money during Kelvin’s recovery instead of Workman’s Comp. Joseph leaves for A.L.E.R.T. again Saturday, the 8th for the second period of advanced training. Kelvin looses his right-hand man. :( That’s one of the reasons he decided to go back to work. :) Anyway, God is continually healing him both physically and spiritually.
