Kraemers were part of a team that ran away with the ribbons–literally! At 8:00 a.m. today, over 100 runners took their mark to begin a 5K walk/run through a golf course and nature trail in Raymond, Minnesota. The “Crown Cruisers” (made up of 15 Stadem and Kraemer family members) won “largest team,” “fastest team,” and had placings in almost every age group in which they entered. Joseph took 5th overall, and fastest in his age group (20-25). Abigail won 2nd in her age group (15-19), and teammate Michelle Stadem took 1st. John ran 14th overall, and 1st in his age group (11-14), and Mark won 10th and under. Christopher, age 5, finished the 5K in 37 minutes, and won youngest runner. He had quite the cheering section:D! Joshua ran well (4/6 in his age category), but 15-19year old males is one of the toughest categories to compete in. Even Susan, who walked the 3.1 miles, won first in her category, as there were only 2 ladies ages 45-49, and the other one walked even slower:)!
At 9:00 a.m., many of the same runners boarded a bus to the start of the mile run. Many of our family just “ran” it to cool out, but Joseph ran 2nd overall, and first in his category. John and Mark ran first in their categories. Abigail placed 2nd again, and Matthew ran third for his age. Joshua was 7th overall. Even Christopher decided to “go the exra mile!”
A good time was had by all, and we hope we aren’t too sore tomorrow!:) Note: You can view the results of this race by clicking here. For last year’s Foot Lake 4 results (which the Kraemers were also in), click here.
